League Suspends Thornton and Unknown for Brawl Monday, July 10th , 2073 If there wasn't a history between Cornell Thornton of Orlando and Jim Unknown of Beloeil, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Thornton said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Posting a .531 batting average to date, Thornton has 4 home runs and 23 RBIs. |
