CNL Player of the Week Named Monday, August 14th , 2073 The marquee name in the Colonial League this week is George Brantley of the Hong Kong Phooey. The hot-hitting 20-year-old first baseman put up a .500 average and .552 on-base percentage, piling up 13 hits in 26 at-bats, 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. That kind of hitting got him the CNL Player of the Week honors. To date Brantley has chalked up a .367 average with 13 home runs, driven in 46 runs and scored 37 times. |
