Duhon Keeps Hit Streak Alive Sunday, July 27th , 2070 The number just keeps getting higher. Buffalo center fielder Bill Duhon has now extended his hitting string to 25 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Buffalo took the 18-7 win over the Avon Stampede at Avon Grounds. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Avon manager said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Bill Duhon grounded out in the 1st, walked in a run in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, walked in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. In 32 games this season Duhon has compiled a .441 batting average with 56 hits and 8 home runs. He has also scored 30 times and knocked in 38 runs. |
