Herrera Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 20 Saturday, June 17th, 2062 Port Monmouth shortstop Jesús Herrera experienced something against the Rothschild Leaves he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Leaves pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 20 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Caribous to a 5-3 victory at Caribous Ballpark. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 20-game hitting streak," Herrera joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." Batting .240 to date, Herrera has 1 home run and 1 RBIs. |
