Rowdy Players Suspended by League Thursday, August 7th , 2070 If there wasn't a history between Jorge Vargas of Delaware and Juan Serrano of Córdoba, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Vargas said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Presently Vargas is batting .381 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 45 games and scored 30 times. This year Serrano has posted a record of 1 win and 2 losses with a 3.48 ERA. He has appeared in 10 games and struck out 47 in 44 innings. |
