Mays Tags Steers for 5 Hits Tuesday, July 4th, 2062 Randy Mays really did a number on the Durham Steers -- and the Durham did one right back on Mays's Discoverers, taking the Steers Ballpark contest 5-4. Mays delivered a huge 5-for-5 performance for Aurora, but did not deliver the victory. "I felt real good in the batter's box today," the 19-year-old shortstop said after putting up a game for the ages. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Randy Mays singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Mays is hitting .404 with 1 home run. View Boxscore |
