Colón Crowned Batter of the Month in August Monday, September 1st , 2070 When Orlando Colón stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Outback League Batter of the Month award. The young Port Monmouth third baseman posted a .434 batting average with 11 home runs, 27 RBIs and scored 33 runs. Colón also worked pitchers for 19 walks to post a .557 on-base percentage.
