It's Over: Rovers Stop Hunt Thursday, July 25th , 2069 The Saint Paul Rovers pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Ryan Hunt hitless in 1 at-bat during the club's 4-0 victory over the Delaware Dragons at Greenjackets Ballpark. The disappointing performance ended a 20-game hitting streak for the center fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Hunt said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." Hunt has collected 41 hits for the Dragons this year, 9 of them home runs. He has also netted 32 RBIs and scored 34 runs while batting .423. |
