Mass Ave Wins Round 1 Saturday, August 24th , 2075 Jay Long has led his Mass Ave Minutemen to a Round 1 victory. Mass Ave's first baseman was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 3-1 and eliminating the Mason Victors. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series." The club advanced to the Round 2 with a 10-4 triumph at Ballpark of Mason in the deciding game. Long was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .474 average, as well as 1 home runs and 6 RBI. The Mass Ave Minutemen don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Modesto Goshawks - Bakersfield Firewalkers series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
