Glacier Bay, Atlantic City Make Deal

BNN is reporting a rumored trade between the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates and Atlantic City Aces has been finalized. The deal, which is expected to be announced sometime during the next few hours, will reportedly send 26-year old LF Raúl Vargas to Atlantic City in return for 33-year old 1B Brian Adkins and a 2nd round draft pick. The clubs were noncommittal on the trade, but did not deny it.
In 280 career games Vargas has hit .235 with 233 hits, 9 home runs, 72 RBIs and scored 142 runs.
Over his 1483-game career Adkins has compiled a .252 batting average and collected 1247 hits, 312 home runs and 814 RBIs.

Falcons Send Jarvis to Honolulu

Newark and Honolulu have agreed to a trade today. 23-year old minor league 2B Edwin Jarvis will go to the High Tide. In exchange the Falcons will receive 30-year old RHP Jeremy Leach.
At 30 years of age, Leach has put up these numbers in his career: 154 appearances, a 16-8 record in 307.1 innings, and 283 strikeouts. He has 3 saves and a career 3.48 ERA.
