Monuments Win Nail-Biter
|
In a tight affair between the Washington Monuments and the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, pitcher Ernesto Alary was in the zone. The Washington right-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. Kunitaro Watanabe earned his 3rd save in 5 tries. The third-place Monuments have won 6 straight games.
Washington needed the clutch hitting of Chris Duncan to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Monuments on top, 2-1. For the game, Duncan had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Alary.
