Monuments Lose By a Run at West Island , 5-4
|
The inspired effort of Washington catcher Tom Quinn was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the West Island Storm. Quinn was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Storm have an impressive 65-41 record.
West Island took a 5-4 lead on Hisashi Yoshikawa's 8th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Washington pitcher Yasushi Inoue in the bottom of the seventh.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Yoshikawa.
