Monuments Win, Reeves goes 3-for-5
Howard Reeves helped his team muscle past the Orlando Rum Runners, 16-6. In the game, the Washington left fielder went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Riley Miller picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-9. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. At 54-60, the Monuments are currently third in the Appalachian Coastal.

Kurt Barras dealt the Rum Runners a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Washington leading 5-4, Barras, who is a three-time Diamond Hammer Award winner, hit a 2-2 curveball for a run-scoring single.

"We maximized our offense today," said Washington skipper Ed Malloy. "That makes everyone's life easier."
