San Jose Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The San Jose Cuervo powered past the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 10-6, at Welsh Field. Derrick Thomas went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice, to lead the charge. San Jose reliever Luis Miguel Morales was the winner. His record is now 6-4. Ernest Reese took the loss. The Cheesesteaks, now 83-53, have lost 5 straight.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Thomas hit a fastball from Ernest Reese for a grand slam home run. The Cuervo, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This place was electric at the end," Thomas said.
