Cheesesteaks Deal Bearers 3-2 Loss
|
There was never a dull moment in this extra-length game between the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks and the St. Paul Bearers.
In a low-scoring affair between the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks and the St. Paul Bearers, pitcher José Paredes was the difference between victory and defeat. The Philadelphia left-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Cheesesteaks win. Ernest Reese got credit for the save for Philadelphia. It was his 47th of the year.
Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Brian Adkins to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Cheesesteaks on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Joey Santangelo.
Philadelphia is now 96-59, 6 games up in the Frontier Northern.
