Syracuse were shut out, 7-0, by Dylan Chapman and the Brighton Fightin' Squirrels at Republic Ballpark. The Solid Gold offered little resistance to Chapman, who stopped them on 4 hits, fanned 11 and walked 1.

"It just felt right today," the left-handed Chapman told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm."
