Madrigal Smashes 3 Homers for Raleigh
Friday, May 24th , 2075
Mario Madrigal was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 24-11 Raleigh Revolution triumph at Cincinnati Grounds.
The 35-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Revolution past the Duluth Red Devils.
"One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Madrigal told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate."
The first baseman went 3-for-5, rung up 10 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day.
Mario Madrigal hit a three-run home run off Pedro Román in the 1st, walked in a run in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Fosco Jovine in the 5th, walked in a run in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off José Pérez in the 8th.
So far this year in 42 games, Madrigal is hitting .325 with 8 home runs, 41 RBIs and 36 runs scored.

Mills Slams 6 Hits for Lancaster

It was a big day for Dave Mills and he brought the Lancaster Lightning along for the ride.
Mills led his club to victory, 25-12, over the Flushing Falcons at Guerilla Ballpark, smoking Flushing pitching for 6 hits in 7 at-bats. The 22-year-old center fielder later called the victory "sweet."
Dave Mills hit a three-run home run off Juan Jose Rodríguez in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This season, Mills is batting .324 with 32 RBIs, 30 runs scored and 4 home runs.

Malone Slaps 5 Hits
Wednesday, May 22nd , 2075
No matter what the Moline Mavericks threw at him, Kelsey Malone hit it. He easily handled Mavericks pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Revolution triumph, 13-12, at Cincinnati Grounds.
"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Malone's quip, Mavericks skipper said he "would take him up on that next time."
Kelsey Malone singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
To date, Malone has collected 38 hits for a .279 average. He has posted 3 home runs, scored 38 runs and driven in 26 runs.
