Sargent Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Saturday, May 26th , 2074 After a 5-hit effort to lead Yellowknife 's 23-7 victory over the Luray Bulldogs, center fielder Bill Sargent told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the POTD Single A-level is really something special." The 21-year-old player earned his accolades at Gumlog Grounds with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Bulldogs. "His swing is getting there," said Wolverines skipper , who spoke glowingly of Sargent after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Bill did that to perfection." Bill Sargent tripled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th.
