Sky Sox Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep
The Córdoba Sky Sox appear poised to make a serious run at the Round 3 after a convincing sweep over the Delaware Dragons in the Round 1.

It's now on to the Round 2 for Córdoba, who won the final game 14-1 and took the series 3-0.

"Everyone's doing their part and things are falling into place," said Córdoba left fielder Bruce Cheney, who was named series MVP. "It feels like a special year."

For the series, Cheney hit .583 with a .643 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 7 runs.

The Córdoba Sky Sox will play against the San Nicolas Bulwarks in the next round. San Nicolas won their series against the Holliday Jackets 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
