It was a sweet sweep for the Chibougamou Onions as they eased past the Chihuahuan Chuckwallas to advance to the Round 2.

Chibougamou won the final game by a 22-10 count and the series 3-0.

"We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Nick Phelps, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Phelps hit .667 with a .733 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 7 runs.

The Chibougamou Onions don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Brighton Fightin' Squirrels - Bar Harbor Lobstermen series. Bar Harbor leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
