It's Over! Glacier Bay Defeats Minneapolis Monday, November 1st, 2060 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Glacier Bay Ice Pirates, that meant the Pioneers of the Diamond World Championship trophy. The Ice Pirates took a 7-2 victory over the Minneapolis Maulers at MacLaren Stadium, winning their 15th championship after taking the series 4-2. "We've got grit," said Ice Pirates third baseman Ken Wheeler, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
