Martin Raps Boston for 5 Hits Thursday, May 2nd, 2058 Brent Martin exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Jackie Robinson Place. The Crab Apple Cove shortstop had a field day in the 11-6 triumph over the Boston Revolution, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Martin must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Brent Martin hit a two-run home run off Ramón Barrera in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
