300 Homers for Leslie Saturday, June 30th , 2074 The Newark Falcons had something to celebrate today even though they dropped a 8-3 decision to Washington. The reason -- the splendid slugger Tony Leslie hit his 300th career homer in today's contest at Falcons Field. "I'm fortunate to be here," Leslie told the media after the game. "The Falcons have a classy organization and some great fans. Homer #300 was for them." Lifetime Leslie has compiled a .232 batting average and collected 1212 hits, 300 home runs and 833 RBIs.
