Yan Socks It to Ridge Raptors, Cracks 5 Hits
Thursday, September 11th , 2070
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Ronnie Yan is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Redstone Ridge Raptors at William Penn Park today. The monster effort from the 24-year-old right fielder helped the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks take the win, 3-2.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Ridge Raptors manager Barry L. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Ronnie Yan doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Yan is currently batting .320 with 6 home runs and 46 RBIs.
