Martínez Tosses Shutout Against Newark Monday, August 27th , 2068 In a seemingly effortless performance, Jorge Martínez of the Minneapolis Maulers shot down the Newark Falcons 7-0 on a 3-hit shutout. "Jorge was just locating so well and using his pitches," Minneapolis manager said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Martínez recorded 8 strikeouts and 4 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Newark manager Corbin Vance said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
