Crab Apple Cove Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game Sunday, August 28th, 2061 There's joy in Crab Apple Cove tonight as the Mashers took the Round 1 to the brink and came out on top. The Crab Apple Cove Mashers have advanced to the Round 2, by edging the Bar Harbor Lobstermen 3-2, with the final blow coming in a 4-2 win at Goldbugs Ballpark. "Whether or not there's bad blood on the field, we respect Bar Harbor and their players and that was one heck of a series," said Crab Apple Cove right-hander Kevin Underwood, who earned series MVP honors. "You've got to give them credit, as in the end they pushed us right to the edge and that's a big test." For the series, Underwood had a 1.29 ERA over 14 innings pitched. He added 22 strikeouts with a 2-0 record. The Crab Apple Cove Mashers will play against the La Paz War in the next round. La Paz won their series against the Brighton Fightin' Squirrels 3 games to 0.
