Hits Galore: Ortíz Drills 5 Hits Monday, April 12th , 2077 Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Pedro Ortíz said his club's tilt with the Mankato Minutemen "felt almost like batting practice." The 18-year-old left fielder went a remarkable 5-for-6 at the plate. "I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later. However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Crab Apple Cove Barrels, who were topped by the Minutemen, 8-5. "It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Barrels manager said. "Sometimes Pedro is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-6 and lose than go 0-for-6 and lose."
