Nelson Belts 3 HR Against Duluth Saturday, April 13th , 2075 Whatever Barney Nelson ate for breakfast before his game against the Duluth Red Devils, it gave him some impressive power. The Raleigh right fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at Squalls Stadium. His home run barrage helped the Revolution defeat the Red Devils, 19-11. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 4-for-6, scored 4 times, drove in 7 and put on a display that history will remember. Barney Nelson singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off George Wood in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Haywood Robinson in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Juan Ochoa in the 8th. So far this season, Nelson is batting .208 with 3 home runs. |
