Bulldogs Anderson Smacks 5 Hits Tuesday, May 11th , 2077 Luray second baseman Ed Anderson could do no wrong today, but the Bulldogs could. Anderson collected 5 hits against the Ottawa Lynx, but he couldn't win the game. Luray fell, 8-6, in extra innings at Severance Grounds. "It's a shame we didn't win," Anderson said later. "It would have been a very special day if that had happened." "In every one of his at-bats, things were in his favor," Lynx manager said. "We couldn't keep him from getting ahead in the count and once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get better pitches to hit." Ed Anderson hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Alex Baxter in the 13th.
