Dave Alford Injured, Out for Year Wednesday, June 7th , 2073 A blow for Dave Alford today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 14 months with a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. Alford suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Key West Lime Suckers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Alford's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. On the year, Alford has worked 35.1 innings with 41 strikeouts en route to a 1-1 record and 2.29 ERA. |
