Laramie Halts Toro's Hitting Steak Friday, June 4th , 2077 Pine Bluff catcher Alfonso Toro knew his hitting streak would end sooner or later. He just would have preferred later. Toro went 0-for-3 in the 4-3 Man Trolls victory over the Laramie Hawks, snapping his 21-game hit streak. "Heck yeah I'm disappointed it's over," he said later. "My financial advisor is disappointed too. When you're riding a streak like that, everybody wants a piece of you. Nobody wants the guy who went 0-for-3." This year, Toro has hit at a .329 clip with 48 hits, 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
