Hit Parade: Walker Pops 5 Hits

Mankato center fielder Robin Walker had a big day at Saws Ballpark today against the Key West Lime Suckers. The 25-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led the Minutemen to a 11-1 triumph over Key West .
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Walker said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
Robin Walker doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Walker is currently hitting at a .253 pace with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and has scored 25 times.
