Minutemen Salvador Ríos Will Miss Season
Wednesday, July 12th , 2073
The doctors have spoken and Salvador Ríos of the Mankato Minutemen didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ríos sustained his season-ending injury during the La Paz War game yesterday at Moths Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Mankato medical staff reported Ríos had bone chips in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
This season, Ríos has gone 4-5 with an ERA of 4.85, posting 71 strikeouts in 81.2 innings.
