Dave Ford discovered that today at Goldbugs Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 9-1 Luray Bulldogs win over the Crab Apple Cove Barrels. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Luray third baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Ford finished the day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats and 4 RBIs. Dave Ford hit a two-run home run off Walter Green in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Walter Green in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Teika Hayashi in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
