Lamb Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Tuesday, June 6th, 2062
With 2 hits at Saws Ballpark today, Bill Lamb added another game to his hitting streak -- the Key West center fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Lime Suckers today, as they fell, 18-10, to the Brighton Fightin' Squirrels.
"Frankly, I don't care about hits," Brighton manager said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Bill Lamb singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Lamb on the season is batting .282 with 6 home runs. His totals include 25 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has played in 52 games.
