League Gives White and Unknown 2-Game Suspensions Tuesday, July 22nd , 2070 There were a few hotheads at the Ft Levenworth -Duluth game at Madison Heights Fields yesterday, but the cooler heads prevailed and kept fisticuffs to a minimum. It all started when Ryan White of the Rock Crushers and Jim Unknown of the Red Devils apparently exchanged some verbal unpleasantries and rushed at one another and began wrestling on the ground. Both benches emptied, but didn't get involved other than a little shoving. Order was quickly restored, the two instigators were ejected by the umpires and the game continued. The league office took quick action and today announced that both players would be suspended 2 games for inappropriate on-field behavior. In 17 starts this season White has crafted a 9-1 record with a 1.87 ERA. |
