6-Hit Game for Vargas Wednesday, August 6th , 2070 Raúl Vargas was sizzling at the plate today. In a game played at Gumlog Grounds, the Brighton third baseman blistered the Yellowknife Wolverines for 6 hits in 7 at-bats to pace his club to a 22-4 victory. "Vargas was too tough to get out today," Wolverines skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Raúl Vargas singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
