Pine Bluff 's Gilbert Collects July Batting Honor Wednesday, August 1st , 2068 Bob Gilbert has a lot going for him. The Pine Bluff third baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the Atlantic League has just picked him as its top hitter for July. In 26 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .295 with 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and 23 runs scored. Gilbert is presently hitting at a .257 pace with 41 home runs and 101 RBIs. He has played in 95 games and scored 76 times. |
