Chuckwallas Win Round 1 Thursday, August 24th , 2073 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Pacific League Round 1. It turned out quite a bit different. The Chihuahuan Chuckwallas swept aside the Chibougamou Onions to advance to the Round 2, winning the final game by a 4-2 score at Ballpark of Aurora. The series MVP was second baseman Sean Caldwell, who hit .385 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it." The Chihuahuan Chuckwallas don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Bar Harbor Lobstermen - Brighton Fightin' Squirrels series. Brighton leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
