Red Barons Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Monday, August 28th , 2073 The New England Red Barons are off to the Round 2 after an exciting Round 1 triumph. New England downed the Lancaster Lightning, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 6-4 win tonight at Ballpark of Jersey City wrapping up the series 3-2. "It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Reynaldo García Jr., who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series. García Jr. put up a .375 with a .412 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 3 home runs, drove in 4 runs and scored 4 runs himself. The New England Red Barons will play against the Ft Levenworth Rock Crushers in the next round. Ft Levenworth won their series against the Pine Bluff Man Trolls 3 games to 1.
