Starting pitcher Luis Santiago Jr. was a major factor in the 2-1 Iowa Crop Circles triumph over the Reading Railbirds. Iowa goes to 3-4.

The Crop Circles got a big at-bat from catcher Jon Ashe. For the game, Ashe was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Iowa a 2-1 lead.

"Luis gave us a really strong effort," said Iowa manager Andy Ward.
