Philadelphia Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
William Penn Park played host to some exciting baseball.
The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks snuck past the Boston Revolution, 4-3, in 10 innings. Philadelphia center fielder Steve Baker, in particular, had a standout performance. Philadelphia reliever Vincent Dickey picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Dani Gonzáles was saddled with the loss.
The Cheesesteaks got a clutch hit from catcher Dave Brown. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cheesesteaks.
"Took some scratching and clawing," said Brown. "But we got it done."
The Philadelphia winning streak has reached 3 games.
