The West Island Storm eked out a 3-2 win versus the Vermont Lake Monsters at Hot Box. Nobody did more than pitcher António Olivo. He was terrific. West Island is now 31-43.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Sean Woodard came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Vermont pitcher Chris Thomas, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting West Island on top, 3-2.

"António pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said West Island manager Slam Dunks BabySitting a Team.
