Martin Excels, Philadelphia Blows Out Reading
The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks handed the Reading Railbirds a sound defeat, 13-1, at Schuylkill Landing Park. Artie Martin was a main contributor to the win. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 7 RBI and scoring once for Philadelphia. The win elevated the Cheesesteaks to 53-32.

With Philadelphia leading 2-0 in the top of the first, Martin hit a fastball from Daniel Sims for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Cheesesteaks ahead, 6-0.

Cheesesteaks manager Joey Santangelo had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
