Launch Suffer One-Run Loss at Honolulu
|
A 3-RBI performance from Carl O'Sullivan helped the Honolulu High Tide beat the Cape Canaveral Launch, 4-3. Xavier Bender picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 4-6. Edgar Arroyo, who led the AP in saves with 44 in 2072, nailed down the save.
With Honolulu trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, O'Sullivan hit a knuckleball from Ernesto Alary for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the High Tide ahead, 4-2.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Honolulu manager .
The winning streak has now reached 10 games for Honolulu.
