Gordon Smith had a good game, but he could not keep the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates from falling, 6-4, to the Boston Revolution at Jackie Robinson Place. The Glacier Bay shortstop was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 in the loss. The winner was Chad Gallagher, who threw 89 pitches over 5.2 innings. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits. The Revolution now have a record of 42-45 with the win over Glacier Bay.

Boston right fielder Adam Koche contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a knuckleball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 30th hit of the season and put the Revolution ahead, 5-3.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Koche told the Boston Bulletin. "Whatever it takes."
