Robin Andrews helped his team muscle past the Newark Falcons, 5-2. In the game, the Vermont first baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Vermont reliever Steven Young picked up the win to move to 1-5. Louie Nelson suffered the loss. The Lake Monsters sport a record of 37-54.

Andrews had a timely hit for Vermont in the top of the seventh. With Vermont trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-0 cutter into a grand slam home run. It was his 15th home run of the season, making it 5-2, Vermont.
