Atlantic City had no answer for Vermont Lake Monsters hurler Carlos Delgado, who overwhelmed Aces hitters as the Lake Monsters coasted to victory, 8-1. The Lake Monsters bumped their record to 50-42 with this win.

Vermont used the timely hitting of Bob Hancock to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lake Monsters on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Carlos was pounding the zone," said Vermont manager Kevin Tucker.
