The St. Paul Bearers rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Gonzalo Martínez to a win, beating the Reading Railbirds, 3-2, at Casket County Stadium. The win gives St. Paul a record of 7-4.

The Bearers were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 34-year old left fielder Félix Martínez landed a big blow. He turned a full count knuckleball from Martín Burgos into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Casket County Stadium denizens into a frenzy and sent the Bearers home with a thrilling 3-2 win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Martínez said.
