Railbirds Deal Burn 3-2 Defeat
|
Reading Railbirds starter Carlos Caro was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Death Valley Burn, 3-2. The win for the Railbirds raised their record to 53-43.
Harvey Gregg, the 31-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Gregg contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Reading up, 3-0.
Afterward, Railbirds manager Slam Dunks was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
